It's a Friday, I started my day with a cup of my white coffee and my home made chicken sandwich. As my daily routine goes, I'll be one of the first to arrive in the office, take my breakfast while checking my email in my office outlook, yahoo mail, gmail, plurk, myspace, and facebook. And then online streaming of DZMM, I have to admit my day is never complete at work if I don't listen to Ted Failon's views and commentaries, then of course I'll switch it to NU107 after.
Election fever in the Philippines has not ceased yet, obviously we have a new president, but the fight is tight on vice presidency. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mar Roxas would make it. We need him and I do not have to argue or explain why I said so.
An interview with Ted Failon and Pinky Webb this morning made me admire Roxas more. He really got what it takes to be a good leader. After he garnered the highest votes in the Philippine election history when he ran as Senator, many people had already made him a potential presidential bet prior to his decision not to run for president anymore to give way for Noynoy on September 1, 2009 at the historic Club Filipino, in the hopes of being the epitome of his belief of "Bayan muna bago ang sarili". I thought he already secured the seat of vice presidency when he did that, but it turned otherwise. Nevertheless, Mar will still be winner, no matter what the results may be, because he gave it a good fight.
I remember telling my younger sister when I was 9 or 10 years old, that when I grow up I'd marry Mar Roxas (hahaha it's true). It never happened, but I am happy and proud to say that he is one of the men I looked up to when I was growing up along with Raul Roco and Gene Mendiola.
